Michael Floyd was born and raised on the east side of St. Paul, Minnesota. His journey is one of dedication, perseverance, and leadership. A standout multi-sport athlete at Cretin-Derham Hall, he went on to play college football at the University of Notre Dame, where he still holds every wide receiver record. After graduating in 2012, Michael was selected 13th overall in the NFL Draft and went on to enjoy an eight-year professional career with the Cardinals, Patriots, Vikings, and Commanders – highlighted by a Super Bowl victory with the New England Patriots.
Following his playing career, Michael transitioned into coaching and mentorship. He currently coaches at Concordia University, where he continues to share his knowledge of the game while guiding young athletes both on and off the field. His passion for teaching, leadership, and personal growth shines through in everything he does.
Michael’s story, energy, and commitment to helping others align deeply with the mission of the Zac Plantz Foundation. At the Evening for Good, attendees will hear firsthand about his journey, the lessons learned through football and life, and the importance of giving back, mentorship, and community.
We look forward to welcoming Michael Floyd to the stage and sharing this inspiring evening with you as we continue to celebrate Zac’s legacy.
